Islam Rising
How the Christian College Can Change the Next Generation
Movements of Muslims coming to Christ have taken place all over the Muslim world. Countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran, and large geographical areas like East Africa, North Africa, West Africa, and the Middle East have all witnessed large-scale conversions of Muslims to Christianity. Now that there has been a significant population increase of Muslims in the U.S., is America the next place where God moves in a similar fashion? If so, how? Tim Orr lays out a plan to show how Christian colleges can play a pivotal role in equipping the next generation to make a difference in the lives of their Muslim friends and neighbors.
We Named Her Faith
How we became a Gospel-Centered family
Tim and Michelle Orr were married for 16 years before adopting their daughter, Faith, who happens to have Down syndrome. Tim's new book, We Named Her Faith, contains the story of their life together before she came to live with them. Tim weaves stories of how he overcame the childhood trauma of having multiple birth defects, a difficult home life, and alcoholism with teaching about living a gospel-centered life. Michelle's life met with difficulties early on as she was born to teenage parents. Through these experiences, Tim shares their firm belief that God orchestrated His redemptive plan in their lives to prepare them to be Faith's parents.

Where the Qur’an came from is a question that has intrigued me since I first began studying the Qur’an on an academic level many years ago. The traditional view seemed to me to be unsatisfactory. When I stumbled on the oral-formulaic approach advocated by Andrew Bannister as an answer to the composition of the Qur’an, I found it to be very insightful.
